This weekend was a Sr touament for 16 years and above up in Steveston B.C. the first picture is the team of Jr's from Tokei University in Japan the number 1 Judo college in the world ! next to San Jose in my mind.. like we thought the Tokei won almost all the pools but the young Candians gave them some tough fights. There were kids from all parts of Canada as this was a Jr points tourment for them. Quebec brought some very good talent. The stands were full to capacity and next to us was a group of guys my age that still do Judo in Burnanby B.C. that were very loud it was like we were at a soocer game ! now that's fun only thing missing was a passing beer cart.. If that's ever happens Im moving to Canada..The last picture is of Kim Mi Jung she was sitting up in the stands by us she won gold at Barcelona in 1992 from So.Korea she now lives in the Vancouver area so you never know who your sitting by up in Steveston.. As far our kids from Zenyu well lets just say they were there and really got to see a differnt level of Judo that most of them have never witnessed..
